About Us

 Kristi Ried-Barton is founder and  director of  IT'S YOGA! STUDIO   INC.  As a Life Coach and Registered Yoga Trainer with Yoga Alliance, she has been teaching yoga on a daily basis to students and clients in Upstate South Carolina for the past 20 years.

 Kristi combines the methods of  Yoga Masters, Amrit Desai, B.K.S. Iyengar and T.K.V. Desikachar as well as restorative and therapeutic.

 As well as teaching for beginners through advanced levels, pregnancy, and teacher training classes, Kristi teaches in the Upstate through the hospitals and clinics working with cancer, cardiac rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis and therapeutic needs.


  Yoga, as we teach it, is a system of health and nutrition maintenance that is long lasting and cultivates a sense of happiness and fulfillment.  We can help you to achieve this by teaching  you how to tap into inner energy reserves and generate health and happiness from within.  True happiness is a result of a daily investment in health.  Through a regular practice we can help you to counter general physical decline due to aging, negligent use of the body, and/or the accumulation of excess tension.


Our Yoga methods meet you where and when you need it.  We are concerned with your over-all health, indicating where the imbalances need correction.  We address your lifestyle, immune system and organ strength.  We look at your whole well-being, on the physical, mental and spiritual aspects that make up who you are.  We guide you to increase your vital life force, the powers of healing that reside within each of us.


Our sessions give you more overall comfort in the body and the mind, improve the posture, encourage deeper breathing, balance energy, improve concentration, and nurture a sense of inner calm. 

The focus of this yoga practice is on breath and spinal aligning postures  for better health, mental clarity, and inner peace.  The benefits of these balanced routines are numerous.  The body can be used with increased energy, flexibility, ease and awareness, to allow the internal workings of the body to function optimally. 

Through consistent practice  with our programs it will lead you to delayed aging, increased energy and a remarkable zest for life.

Julie has been a certified and licensed bodywork therapist for over 15 years.  She specializes in Swedish, Deep tissue, Neuromuscular, Pre-natal, Reflexology, Shiatzu, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Myofacial (Trigger Point), Sports/Athletic massage modalities, and Rain Drop Technique.  With Jin Shin Jyutsu, Julie is able to do Energy Balancing.

Stephanie Solazzo, Thai Yoga Massage

Our Thai Yoga Massage Therapist
, Stephanie Solazzo, has 13 years of experience of
teaching for health and well-being.  She studied yoga at The Temple Kriya Yoga in Chicago, Illinois, later continuing her education through YogaFit and Flow Yoga.  She received her Thai Yoga Massage certification in 2007 through Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage.

Our Instructor, Brenda Ellis, has been practicing and teaching yoga since 2006.  She's certified in several areas of group fitness and has graduated from IT'S YOGA! STUDIO INC. Teacher Training Institute. 

Brenda teaches in the Hatha Yoga tradition, especially Vinyasa, and has been influenced by BKS Iyengar and Anusara methods.  She believes that students begin a Yoga practice in order to restore and strengthen the body.  As they transform their bodies those who continue their practice receive Yoga's most important gift - a renewed spirit.






Athena Seay received her certification over five years ago and has taught over 1000 class hours since.  She is inspired by her students energy and their willingness to learn.

Athena has learned from many great instructors including Dharma Mittra, Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, and Sean Corn.  She teaches a mix of hatha, kundalini and astanga yoga for all levels, from beginner to advanced, as well as pre/post natal classes.
